Turbo™ Steam Vent Knob
The TurboCooker’s Valve sits atop the dome cover and either keeps the steam from escaping the cooker or releases the steam, depending on the setting.

The steam vent knob allows steam to exit thru an opening in the top of the cover, to control the cooking environment inside. The steam vent knob retains and releases steam, as required during various stages of the cooking process. The switch mechanism moves side to side controlling the flow of steam. When turned to the right side the position inside of the valve seals closed the opening inside the dome cover. When the valve is closed the steam rotation is fully formed throughout the dome cover. A closed valve will maintain steam longer so less liquid is lost during cooking.

When in the retracted position steam escapes thru the opening in the cover, flowing up thru the steam vent knob and safely out the knobs front.

The steam vent knob is made in phenolic a heat resistant up to 350°F.For more information on Phenolics follow this link.
