Turbo Cooker vs. Multi Cooker
What is a multi cooker?
A multi cooker is a versatile electrical cooking appliance that combines a lot of kitchen appliances in one unit and cooks food in different ways, including slow-cooking (though that isn’t what it’s designed for).
Multi cookers are useful for cooking meals quickly, The Insta
Pot is a multi cooker.
How a Turbo Cooker compares:
- - Pressure-Cooking (Turbo is low pressure which does not require a lock or gasket, a multi cooker needs a gasket and lock mechanism).
- - Both can slow-cook
- - Both can steam
- - Both can sauté
- - Both can bake
- - Both can grill
- - Both can reduce
- - Both can warm
- - Both can prepare rice, a Turbo needs 3 steps while a multi cooker is automated, but rice is fluffier in a Turbo Cooker.
In an multi-cooker you would roast a chicken in the Turbo you SteamRoast™ it.
- o o Bake versus SteamBake™
- o Grill versus SteamGrill™
What can’t a Turbo do better?
There’s nothing a pressure cooker can do better than a Turbo™ the only differance is a pressure cooker is slighly faster
Pressure Cooker Explained
Basic Features
Liquid is heated in the sealed chamber, creating steam. The airtight seal creates a large amount of pressure inside the pot, which heats the liquid to a high temperature.
Once the lid is closed, the correct amount of pressure is selected based on the recipe. When the desired pressure is reached, the heat is lowered to maintain a consistent pressure.
It can take up to 10 minutes for a pressure cooker to reach its target temperature. When cooking is finished — but before the lid is opened — the pressure inside the pot must be released
What can’t a Turbo do better?
A multi cooker is the closest product to a Turbo, we have never tried yogurt making as of yet but multi-cookers have a pre-set function for it.
Most multi cookers air fry. Air frying can crisp food, but it dries it out at the same time the longer the food is exposed to the dry heat. Turbo steamfries™ and steamfrying™ does not dry out ingredients, but steam frying can not replace deep frying.
Multi Cooker Explained
Basic Features
Multi-cookers generally range in capacity from two to eight quarts. A two-quart multi-cooker is perfect when cooking for one or two; larger models works well for small to medium families; and an eight-quart model is best for a large family or someone who entertains guests frequently.
Many multi-cookers have programs built into them for things like risotto, soup, beans, and oatmeal.
The built-in pressure cooker is an important feature of a multi cooker. Without it, a multi-cooker would basically be a glorified slow cooker.
Multi Cookers are good at cooking:
Multi-Cookers do not have their own cooking method the functions are cooking methods of other devices such as:
- • Pressure cooking
- • Slow Cooking
- • Sautéing
- • Rice cooking
- • Steaming
- • Baking
- • Keeping food warm
Cooking Advantages
Multi-cookers are similar to the traditional cooking of a pot with a tight-fitting lid. Multi Cookers let you fry,
Available Upgrades
Some multi-cookers feature multiple pressure settings, so you can choose to cook under a higher or lower pressure
The number of available pre-set programs varies from model to model, but some multi cookers have many available pre-set programs.
Issues
The disadvantage of a multi-cooker is that sometimes they handle one function better than others
What is SteamCooking™
SteamCooking™ is the cooking technology/cooking technique that was developed in conjunction with Turbo Cooking. SteamCooking™ is the simultaneous combination of traditional cooking techniques incorporated with the use of steam.
